Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit known as an Indian actress, is best famous for her roles as Beta, Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!'. She began her career in the 1980s and was a hit with her role in the movie "Tezaab", in which she starred alongside Anil Kapoor, a veteran actor. In the film 'Dil' she starred alongside Aamir Khan. She was born to an Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing as a child. As a youngster she attempted acting but was unsuccessful for several years. However, she eventually achieved success and was able to establish herself as one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film industry. After her marriage she took a short time to relax from acting before returning to the entertainment field. In the past, she was an important part in the film 'Gulaabgang", which was about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. The actress was also awarded the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian honour. Her social work is another an important aspect.
